For the R&D stuff, do you have to be part of a group in order to take part in it? Becuase i have a ship that i created that i'd like to use in my RP, and i was wondering if i'm allowed to post it in R&D for approval.

To do an actual R&D you have to be a member of a group. However if you are just using the ship in a Roleplay and not intending to use it against a group in a hostile manner then you don't actually have to R&D the vessel (so as long as you don't try to attack an actual TRF group with it, you're good).

Cool. But eventually if i become part of the group, and wish to continue to use the vessel, then i will have to R&D it, correct?

I am going to go out on a limb and say if you want to R&D a single ship (not mass produced) as an individual, you may. But the R&D rules will obviously still apply and it would be best to roleplay how you aquired said craft or modified it.

If the ship does not make sense or is just too uber and you are unwilling to compromise on the 'invisible-shapeshifting-super laser-transporter' thingie, at most, you just won't be allowed to R&D anymore.

Y'know, everybody who RP's has their character have a personel ship. I mean, shouldn't there be some who just plain stay on their planet or hitch a ride?

thats what my character did. he stole a ship and now its crashed on Yinchorr. so now im... shipless?
