The whole thing is facetious. It's designed to inspire disgust and hate towards Christians by taking a part of what a Christian believes and twisting it into something quite different.

Besides which, his only biblical proof is flawed. God killed Onan not for wanking, but for refusing to impregnate his dead brothers wife, thus providing an heir.

I've not found explicit biblical wording saying 'don't beat off'. Rather, it's implied under the blanket statement of remaining sexually pure. If you're masturbating, you're probably thinking of someone, and Jesus equated that to adultery; an act Christians should abhor.


Some of that site's suggestions for curing masturbation are pretty sick. I'm of the opinion that cutting a little boy is a rather worthless procedure (I'm not going to do it to my kids), but to a girl? C'mon, really now. God made us to enjoy sex, not shirk and scream in indignant panic every time someone thinks of it. At least a cut guy can still feel something when he's doing it, but IIRC don't girls loose most of the nerve endings down there? I seem to remember that being mentioned when reading about some of the more hardcore Islamic practices.
