With pleasure.

Lucas is with you when you read them, peering over your shoulder sporadically shouting that? Can you get his autograph for me, please? Seriously though, so what if they aren't cannon? They're just books.

Quote:
You miss the point. Attack Of the Clones sounds like a bloody horror flick from 1950, while T.E.S.B. sounds cool and futuristic.

You miss my point as well. Both are titles. TESB also went through the same grife as AOTC is going through now, if I am not mistaking. They are simple yet effective in getting the "main point of the chapter" across.

Quote:
I don't care. Was it a kiddy movie? No. Did it have a floppy eared character who talks like Daffy Duck on morphene? No. It was a serious, awsome movie, which drew on such various sources as Kurosawa (I still can't spell it) and ancient Chinese/Japanese beliefs.

Did he aim the origionals at kids? Yes. Maybe it wasn't a kiddy movie as we think of them now, but it was still targetted at the younger population. Lucas has even said so himself. Was TPM a serious movie? Aside from the horrid acting of Ani and Jar Jar, yes it was. I still see myself laughing everytime I watch the OT during different parts, especially with Chewwie being a big scaredie cat in ANH. I'm sure that was aimed for kids. A big beast with the power of a lot being afraid of a little garbage creautre. Heh.

Quote:
PG means a kid can see it- it doesn't mean it's meant for them, or that they'll like it. There's nothing that a kid shouldn't be reading in Great Expecations, but I'll be damned if a seven year old can read it. And ask any adult- including really old people like my father- Star Wars is great to them, even now.

I know Star Wars is great to many adults as well. It was a revolutionizing Movie, with special effects never before tested or seen in movies. (I wrote an entire history report on ILM and the special effects in star wars.) Still, though, its "target" population is for kids. Tisn't my fault old people like it as well. :p
