I painted today. The black and white image above is the template for the painting on the board. The sun burst was to cover a knot hole in the wood. I'll probably re work that part before sealing it.. not entirely happy with the sun...

Neat-o. I do agree with you on the sunburst though, looks a bit funny. I did a bunch of pencil sketching for highschool, but I really disliked it. My sketches always tended to come out without any contrast. I wish my teacher had done more actual teaching and given more guidance than he did.

it's possible I'll just cut the part of the board off that has the knot hole and remove the sun... it's easier than trying to repair the sun or cover it with something else... I was rather tired by the time I got to that part :b
