Return of the King of the Cafe!
That is one scary-ass movie. I mean, the thing about how the Matrix was started was just plain creepy.

Now, the animation kicked-ass of course, but besides that it was terrifying

Baisically the movie says that humanity started the whole thing by creating machines, then when they started thinking for themselves humanity wiped out as many as possible for fear of retaliation. The machines then made their own cities, but since they were so much better at work then us work markets collapsed before them, so America and the UN set up Economical Sanctions in a hope of drowning them out.

The Machines even created a plan for coexistance, but their diplomats were torn to pieces on sight.

Kinda missed the point of the films, I think.

After seeing part two of the pre-movie prologue, you quickly notice that humanity tries to nuke the robots out of existance for fear of their wrath for all the things humanity did to them.

Then of course, the machines have had enough and attack back. After losing some battles, humanity clouds the sky and tries to win the war by disabling the machines.

That fails, of course, because the machines can adapt fast. They were already ready for such a thing, and kicked humanity's ass rather bloodily, and with a lot of torture and pain.

Once they won, they prepared the Matrix and we know the rest. Well, maybe not, the sequals were cryptic as hell.

Nothing was resolved in the last movie, sad to say. All questions were left unanswered. :(

Matrix was a great movie, that was made into crap by the sad attempt to pretend it was meant to be a trilogy.

Kind of like Star Wars. Except that ESB was actually better.
