I was going to buy it for myself for Christmas, but I've been reading a lot about how Steam isn't being nice and has a lot of bugs to be worked out yet. Not to mention about how it downloads stuff all the time. Since I'm on 56k, that wouldn't be very good. So, I got a Gamecube insteadl.

Oh, that Ravenholm part was creepy as shit. Especially with the dude that carries the spider-like thing on his back and throws them at you, and those spastic mummies that lunge at you from 20 feet away. I beat the game last week. It was pretty badass.
My friends list has never worked in Source either. Maybe it'll be fixed with the next upgrade. We should set up some TRF Source playtime.

Steam is good, but yes, it takes alot of effort for keeping all half life mods updated. I don't use the multiplayer much.

Yeah, Source kicks some major ass. I still feel like a noob, but in a whole game of noobs I am the lesser noob than a good deal of other players.
