Just watched my first episode of this animated series. I was impressed by the lightsabre battles, the sound effects, and the more active use of the 'force' than in the movies. THe animation was ok, I suppose, typical modern stuff, nothing particularly nice.

From the one episode I saw, it appears to be bridging between the two movies (II and III) nicely.

And for the record, if Grevious fights in III like he did in SW:CW, I'll wet my pants with joy.

Return of the King of the Cafe!
Personally, I think they should have made the animated series very long and made THAT the second movie.

I thought it sucked ass. So did OS, if I remember correctly...

They're planning on doing 5 more, which will be a little longer, before May '05 and will be releasing all 25 on DVD together I believe.

Yep, bootlegs on DVD. I got them at a con and has all the episodes.

If you want to get the official ones, I guess wait until May of next year.

It is my opinion that the Star Wars: Clone wars are nothing more than a flashy anime hybrid, and if you go to the website and listen to the commentary on the cartoons, it will soon become apparent to you that the creators of the series actually have no fucking clue what they are talking about when it comes to Star Wars. The guy is just like "yeah.... so heres some droid guys, and they are attacking this thing, and theres a lot going on... we thought it would be cool to make it flash right here like DBZ.... yup"

I have no appreciation for cartoon network's anime type animation and even less for the people who tried to turn Star Wars into that same crappy stuff. The series is just a bunch of flashy anime BS, and the very first one I saw I was like, WTF? They don't even explain what is going on very well, I guess they just expect you to either be too dazzled by the flashes, not care, or be all knowing and already know what is going on.

And that is my two cents on that garbage.
