Happy Yom Kippur day Kyric Zen.

WE ARE REMINDED THAT FROM SUNDOWN TONIGHT UNTIL SUNDOWN SATURDAY IS
YOM KIPPUR...A SOLEMN JEWISH HOLIDAY. SOME OF YOUR JEWISH NEIGHBORS
IN THE WATCH AND WARNING AREAS OBSERVING YOM KIPPUR WILL NOT BE
LISTENING TO RADIOS OR WATCHING TV...AND MAY NOT BE AWARE OF THE
HURRICANE SITUATION.

Taken from the Public Advisory 11AM in the National Hurricane Center. I think they will be aware of it when their roofs are torn off.

Perhaps the celebration is a busy one, which does not allow time for watching TV? Like on Christmas, usually people are too busy to watch movies, TV, or listen to the radio, at least in the morning.

Y'know, until this evening, the Yommie holiday is supposed to last, but by 8AM Sunday, Hurricane Jeanne is supposed to be over our state. Right now it's forecast to make landfall as a Category 3 Hurricane, which it already is, just strengthen a little more, with winds approaching Category 4 strength.
