Not sure how long. I have to clean sweep my hard drives (yes, I have 2 hard drives in my Vaio) due to all kinds of viruses, worms, and/or parasites.

For now, I will be writing down URLs in my favorites and on my desktop, as well as burning image CDs.

So, until then, ADIOS AMIGOS!

Before a format I usually burn my favorits and junk to a CD. Not sure how one would do that with IE, but with Firefox it's just a .htm file.

Ouch. Full destructive system recoveries. I hate them, but sure seem to do a lot of them...


In IE? It's a folder, all ya gotta do is drag it to wherever you're saving to.... thats what I usually do anyways.


I dump all my stuff onto another comp, because realistically it would take 30+ cds to back up all the stuff I wanna keep..... heh

Aye it's a folder in the Documents and settings folder (well, for Win XP), though the name of folder you need to get into to find it can vary. The favorites are saved as html files as well.

I got myself an external harddrive to slowly start copying all my junk too, been lazy about it though...

Had to do a system format this weekend myself... have like 8 viruses pop up at once, got them before they infected anything, but every other thing seemed to go wrong right then too... couple drivers corrupted and that was all she wrote :b

got everything backed up first though :D

I really should do a reinstall myself on this computer. Keep getting this 'system has recovered from a serious error' thing upon boot up...

But, I would like to get my own copy of Win XP first...and that's pricey...

Sorry Grevious, but its necassary. It seems like it takes forever for my damned 2003 Sony Vaio to boot up when I turn it on. I think it's time for a sweep anyways.

Odd, though, how I never had to do that with my 2000 HP Hewlett Packard Pavalion. I may have to resort to my HP while cleaning my Vaio. But, well see.
