A friend of mine just registered and posted a few messages at Sw-fans under my old name (minus the rank), and he was banned as fast as these people who advertise for non-ezboard sites. Apparentley they don't like the name "Kraken" at all, no matter who registers under it. Comments?

I know. That was the funny thing. I asked Cloud Strife if he wanted to be a member of a cool board, he said yes, I said okay, here is a name for you to register under, he said okay, he registered that name, posted 2 messages, then....BAN, 5 minutes later.

Well... yes. You were banned there, so if another Kraken pops up, with a similar IP and so forth, they are going to ban him too, aren't they. I don't see anything especially funny about it, aside from the sheer idiocy of expecting anything else than a straight-off admin panning.

I don't think the IP would need to be the same either (or even close to the same), it's relativly simple to get a new one.

It was a different IP, and everything about him that he typed in was different than me, other than the Time Zone, and Country lived in. Even his writing style was so totally different than mine. The only way he was similar to me is:
1) He used the name Kraken.
2) He mentioned me in the OOC forum as the person who recommended the site to him.

The admins know my IP now, I told them not to even bother banning my IP anymore, as I can still visit the board. And as it is, I can still see the board...

His IP directly matched yours, Kraken. Either he was using your computer, living in the very near vacinity, or had consciously done something to give himself an identical IP.

Okay, that is pretty impossible, because;
1) I've been IP Banned since October or so, but he was still able to view the sw-fans webpages.
2) My computer is at my home. The computer he was using was at school.
