*uses the 'mark forum as read' thing*

Saves time as in not having to figure out what forums have new posts. On most boards I go to (including two of my own) I dont have an icon to show a board is read, so if I go to one of my boards and see the column that has the 'new posts' icon as small as it can go...then I know there's nothing new and I just move on to the next board. With a 'no messages read' icon I have to 'scroll down' to see if there's any new posts or not. That's where the time waste comes from ;)

It is slightly annoying.

It falsely lulls you into thinking there are still unread topics there, when there arent.


Having no icon was better than having an icon at all.
