The Rebel Faction

Anyone got it yet? I'm thinking about picking it up, but only if it's on par with the likes of Oblivion.

I think it's great so far. I'm enjoying Fallout 3 far more than Fable 2, co-op aspects included (for the latter). I enjoy FO 3's open worldness, and the amusing conversations you can have, and the choices you can make - it's effectively Oblivion with guns and Washington DC for me.

I also like that Liam Neeson is your dad.

Farcry 2 is the sequel to a not so great first shot. The game is pretty good, but it has glitches and limitations that are very obvious within the first few hours of play. It is very fun, however and the sort of game you can while away the hours on. That said, it's one of those games that will drop in price within the next two months. I wouldn't suggest buying it yet, try renting it first and if you find it a solid hit - then buy. I rented it, played for a week and enjoyed it but not enough to go out and drop the primo bucks on it right now.

Deadspace is, well, a typical suspense/horror shooter and puzzle solver. OXM gave it something like a 7.5 out of 10, so...

Given the choice, of the three, I'd go with Fallout 3.

That said, I rented Fallout 3 and will probably buy it soon. Instead I bought Spiderman: Web of Shadows based on the reviews of my friends and I've been having a blast with it - finally a Spiderman game that has overcome many of the glitches from the previous movie franchise games and while it still has problems, the advances over the last (Spiderman 3) are huge (and I liked S3 a lot as well).

My bro wasn't even sure what type of game Fallout 3 was, but decided to get it and is enjoying it a lot. The tutorial is rather...um...'unique' in our opinion, if not a little freaky...

One thing my bro does not like about it is that you face essentually giant cockroachs at first (neither of us like cockroaches *shiver*).
