We'd love to have you with the Confederation's Intelligence Branch, (Confederation Security and Intelligence Service). But ultimately, it depends on what you want to do with your character. EDIT: I should mention that there are other intelligence agencies around with different groups, but they're not that active. If you find a group that particularly catches your eye, you can probably restart their intelligence section with no problems. The exception to this is the Rebel Alliance, which is just starting to form up. They could use a good agent.

If you'd like to join a group where you can make an immediate impact and help a growing faction thrive consider the Alliance, the Rebellion, or the Confederation. Each group could provide exciting challenges and endless amounts of storyline opportunities.

And no other advocates for TNO? I beg to differ, the SS is very active (at least, it will be after I finish my exams on Tuesday). And it is a great intelligence branch, though it hasn't been RPed out that much yet. And you can make an immediate impact in TNO - you can help us to subvert, undermine, and otherwise destroy the Confederation!

The Confederation is a new group, that's a breakaway from a Republic-esque state called the Galactic Coalition. They're starting to get ships and such, and has the slimmest chance of being a threat to TNO given some time.
So. Do you want to fight with the bully, or the underdog?
