"With all due respect," Vice Councilar Eola started as the shuttle began its motion into hyperspace, "are you sure your public announcement was the smartest of ideas my liege?" That won him a smile from the ebon and crimson clad emperor, who simply let his pupiless eyes narrow to little slits as he eased back in the comfort of his personal craft. On either side he was literally bathed in TIE defenders, sixteen of them, all piloted by some of the best PeFauna in the galaxy.
It was at moments like these where he'd never felt more alive, more welcomed in the expedition of life. Though he rested now in the confines of his transport, he indulged every word Eola had to say to him. He could not blame the young Chandrilan, to personally announce the construction of a death star was extremely risky by any standards. Some went as far as to call him arrogant.
Oh how predictable the galaxy was. After becoming emperor for so long did they really think him that much of a fool?
"I am positive it was a magnificent idea," he responded matter-of-factly, his eyes watching the ceiling as if there was something to be interested in amongst the paintings he'd had adorn it.
"Yes majesty, but-,"
"Tell me again Vice Counciler, who exactly is the emperor?" he asked with a smile so wide it nearly took to his ears. He heard the resounding sigh from his counciler.
"You my lord."
"And who is the vice counciler who advises me?"
"Myself and that is why-,"
"That is why you shall advise and listen to my final order. Correct?" Fearsons finally said, leaning forward as if to examin the other human's face. "I understand where you are coming from Vice Counciler, but I know exactly what I'm doing."
"You do realize sire, that this may turn our allies against us, may aggrovate the Empire, may finally push them over the edge in a pre-emptive strike!" the chandrilan tried to explain so many details in only one sentence, thinking that may be the only one he managed to get off to the emperor.
Of course he could not complain, he'd heard the tales of Emperor Palpatine, and how he would right out kill a man if he grew tired of him, or of how the Sith had randomly murdered people on the bridge of star destroyers just for the sake of doing so, so dealing with Emperor Fearsons should have been easy, but still it could be frustrating at times when he had an idea.
"I understand all your concerns Eola, and I have taken them into consideration, as has the war council, and the inquisition, as well as the RSDS. Do you honestly think I would jeopordize years worth of construction for no better reason than an undying urge to tell everyone? Do you think that I am stupid enough to act without thinking? I did not win the Chimeran Civil War that way Eola, please do not underestimate me. It makes it harder to want to promote you."
Eola sighed again, it was indeed hard to try to deal with this one. There was no real arrogance in him to try to jump on, it was like how he'd imagined dealing with Grand Admiral Thrawn, knowing exactly what he was doing but never being arrogant or snobby about it, just knowing it had to be done.
But did this really have to be done? Jileaek Station was still a highly classified station, and while he announced its construction, he fortunately did not announce where it was. Politically speaking however, this was a double-edged sword he was now wielding.
On one hand, if the Empire would have stumbled upon it and revealed it to the galaxy he would have looked like a power grubbing maniac, but now that he revealed it and his intent with it, people are a bit more interested in hearing what he has to say, interested in seeing what the Rogue Empire has in mind for diplomacy and negotiations within the galaxy.
Already there were Hapan soldiers landing there, as was specifically requested by the emperor of the Crown Prince, Dakkon Darksword, who eagerly agreed, along with the Tholatin forces requested, and the Colonial Forces under the one known as Darkestsith6. It was already looking like a diplomatic station.
The audio systems flared to life suddenly within the shuttle. "My lord, we are reverberating from hyperspace now, will come out in three...two...one." With that the shuttle exitted its decent, coming into the Clak'Dor V System, where the
Celestial Corrupter was awaiting.
"Just...chill out counciler," Fearsons said with a smile.
