Anyone know what's happening to this idea GL had? When's it coming out/starting? That kind of thing.

Ah we've been tracking this for months at TGC. There are actually two. One is a CGI continuation of the Clone Wars series, the latest about it is as follows

Mint in Box caught up with Industrial Light & Magic animation supervisor Rob Coleman, who talked about the upcoming animated "Star Wars" series. Rebelscum has posted a rundown of the highlights:
-Currently 15 episodes in various stages of production
-One, almost two episodes fully completed
-Coleman to direct 5 of first 26 episodes
-"They're looking fabulous, they're looking great..."
-"Our stuff is incredible compared to what's out there..."
-Some licensees have viewed footage and the reaction was very positive
-Final assembly of shows is done at Skywalker Ranch
The Live Action show is still being scripted and will be started I believe once Lucas Animation finishes the episodes for the Clone Wars TV show

I hope the animation isn't another one of those five minute episode things... that blew...

No the Clone Wars show is in CG like Reboot and Roughnecks was and will be 30 minute episodes.

I read an interview with the producer in Empire magazine a month or two back, and he was claiming that they (literally) had a 100 episodes that they could fill. Lucas added "if people still want it, we have the ideas." He (Lucas) also said that he would have a real hands on approach at first, but then step back to allow other creators to develop his worlds.
